Autumn trends: Burgundy and Tartan

Two trends that will become key for this autumn 2016 are making a strong entrance: burgundy and tartan print.

Bordeaux takes its name from the wine of the same name produced in the French region of Bordelais. It is also called burgundy or burgundy. This colour ranges from purple red to dark red. With more raspberry, reddish or purple nuances, this colour is made to seduce followers of the latest trends.

It was first worn last season and will be crowned this autumn-winter. It is a very flattering and combinable colour, as it looks good with almost any tone. In addition, it matches any skin tone.

In everyday life, burgundy can be worn in a top with jeans. We can also find beautiful coats and jackets in this trendy colour. Likewise, you can opt for a few touches in accessories such as bags, shoes, earrings, necklaces and even scarves now that the cold weather is coming.

At night, it goes perfectly with black. It is also such a versatile colour that it goes well with silver and gold. You can also try adding a touch of burgundy to your makeup, as it goes well with all skin tones. A touch of burgundy is a sure bet for a trendy look.

Letizia and Scarlett. Hola Magazine

Many celebrities from all walks of life have embraced burgundy. We highlight two of the most influential women: our queen Letizia and Scarlett Johansson. We can also see it on the most important catwalks in the world.

Anaissa has joined this trend, proving once again that she is always at the forefront of fashion. Leggings have been the perfect canvas to capture the burgundy color.

The Wonder push-up denim jegging (on the cover) is made from burgundy-dyed denim. Another significant example is our Paris shaping tregging, in a slightly redder shade than the Wonder. On the other hand, we have the San Marino legging with lace detail, which in addition to navy, green and powder pink, has a version in a burgundy shade.

Needless to say, all of these leggings offer a push-up system that firms, reducing sagging and concealing imperfections. Their “shaping” cut slims and shapes the legs and buttocks. Furthermore, in the shapewear line, Anaissa has the widest range of reducing leggings, slimming leggings, firming leggings and anti-cellulite leggings. New this season, we are introducing velvet leggings.

Another trend that has been crowned as a must-have this autumn is the tartan print . It is a design from Scotland, which is why it is also known as "Scottish checks". The tartan print has many versions, looking great on dresses, trousers, coats or accessories. Although they appear at the beginning of each autumn/winter season, this year they have entered with more force and highlighting the darker and less striking colours.

This print looks great on any garment. It works very well on shirts combined with plain trousers. It also works on wintery pieces such as coats and scarves, not forgetting accessories.

This season, Anaissa presents two leggings with a tartan print in dark and discreet colours. These are the Boston shaping tregging and the Chicago shaping legging. These garments can be highlighted by using plain and light colours in the rest of the outfit.
