Blogger of the month: We Are Uniform

With this post, Anaissa is launching a new section of the blog called "Blogger of the Month" in which we want to highlight the work of bloggers who actively contribute to the world of fashion online with their outfits, styles and proposals. For this reason, this month we are starting this project with the Mexican blog We Are Uniform, which has been in the spotlight lately and continues to grow.

Since we met them we have been following their blog post by post, and the truth is that we have been captivated by their good taste and how they know how to make the most of even the most everyday and simple garments. It is not surprising that when things are done with love and passion, as happens with We are Uniform, projects begin to grow and bear fruit. For this reason, they have recently been awarded at the Privalia Fashion Blog Awards 2015 in Mexico in the category Best Blog as a Whole.

Blog We Are Uniform

Who are We Are Uniform?

We Are Uniform are a stylish and professional couple, as they describe themselves as "partners for life" who have a lot to tell.

We are Uniform

On the one hand we have 50% of the project, Alix, a girl who is the style blogger and editor in chief of the blog, and is even the model for most of the posts they make. Her naturalness in front of the camera and the joy she exudes is obvious. You just have to see her! For Alix, " getting to know people through their style and the evolution of it is to convey more than words can ", and how right she is. We totally agree with her that inspiration is everywhere, luckily there are people like Alix who know how to detect it, appreciate it, capture it and transform it to turn it into style.

Efrén is the other 50% of We Are Uniform and the graphic part of the project. He is a guy who has been working as a fashion photographer and art director for some years. In fact, he has worked as an editor for various Mexican magazines and currently works as a creative for an important advertising agency. When you see the photographs on the blog, you can clearly see that behind the camera there is an expert eye that knows how to play with framing, colours and light. His images highlight his ability to create good photographs in the most everyday locations, choosing the colour contrast between the backgrounds and the styles created very well. A good example of this can be seen in the post entitled Movement , in which they featured an item of clothing from Anaissa, the Rise leggings.

Although in most posts Alix is the one who plays the role of model and Efrén stays behind the camera, we love it when they surprise us and switch roles as they did recently in the Switch post. Maybe we like it so much because there are far fewer men participating in fashion blogs and it's great that fashion is becoming less and less an exclusively female territory.

Last month they were on a trip around Europe in the purest coolhunting style. We, like many of their followers, followed their exploits on social media as they travelled through the different countries they visited. During those weeks they were narrating and sharing with all of us this trip that surely has changed them in some way, because a trip like this is one of those experiences that enriches you in every sense. On their blog you can find several posts about this European adventure.

So now you know, if you are interested in style, blogs with good outfits and above all, a dose of good vibes, be sure to visit www.weareuniform.com.
