Let's start with its name: it comes from a Sanskrit term that refers to the synchronization of the body and breathing . The etymological root means 'to place' It is a variant of Ashtanga Yoga that involves performing asanas in a specific order. Unlike ashtanga, vinyasa tends to be freer, so to speak. BREATHING AS A DRIVER OF PRACTICE
